Fontaines DC

Had the absolute pleasure of building this 1:6 scale model set for Fontaines D.C. The brief: something in the spirit of The Shining and we knew exactly which moment we wanted to chase.

Working alongside a brilliant team of model makers, we built and rigged the set to flood with green blood in a single, unbroken take, echoing that unforgettable Shining elevator shot of blood gushing through the doors. The catch: we only had one shot to get it right. No retakes, no do-overs, once that flood started, it was happening for real, live, on set.

It's the kind of shoot that puts every bit of prep to the test, every seal, every rig, every timing cue had to hold in the moment, because there was no version of "we'll fix it in the next take." Genuinely one of the most nerve-wracking and rewarding builds we've done.
