Bananagrams

OVERVIEW

Working with the wonderful creative team at Asmodee, we created this papercraft animation for one of their most famous products, Bananagrams.

This was a full end-to-end production, with everything handled in-house: direction, art direction, storyboards, papercraft design, props, and miniatures, through to animation, editing, grade, and sound. Every element on screen from the set pieces to the tiles themselves was designed and built as papercraft, giving the piece a tactile, handmade warmth that suited the brand and the game.

Taking a project from a blank page through to a fully graded, sound-designed final film, without handing any part of it off, meant the tone stayed consistent from the first sketch to the last frame.
